Meet the Mind Behind StarMaths
Hi, I’m Unousha, the founder of StarMaths — and a passionate mathematics teacher with over a decade of experience helping students unlock their full potential. From the age of 9, I knew I was destined to teach maths. Today, I’m proud to say that dream has become a reality.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the UK. Since 2010, I’ve been offering private tuition, and from 2016, I began teaching maths in secondary schools across London. I now work as a qualified maths teacher in an academic school, delivering lessons from Year 7 through to A-Level.
With more than 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to connect with students of all levels and learning styles. My strength lies in breaking down complex topics and making them feel simple, engaging, and fun — whether you’re learning algebra for the first time or preparing for advanced exams.
